Inobat

Batrec Industrie AG cooperates closely with INOBAT. INOBAT stands for «Interest Organization Battery Disposal». It is organized as an association of the private law and includes about 120 member companies in the production, import and trade business. On behalf of the Federal Office for the Environment (FOEN), the INOBAT collects, manages and uses the advance disposal fee, which consumers have to pay when purchasing batteries and rechargeable batteries.

The primary goal of the INOBAT is to increase the present collection rate from 66.4% (2006) for spent batteries to the 80% target value required by the FOEN.

Accurec

Batrec Industrie AG cooperates with the German company Accurec, a company of the Veolia Group, recycling specialist for cadmium-containing batteries.
